Tom-Eric Krijger (Holanda, 1987) concluiu, em 2008, a Licenciatura em História pela Faculdade de Humanidades da Universidade de Utreque (Holanda). Na mesma instituição concluiu, em 2010, o Mestrado de Pesquisa em História com uma tese sobre o protestantismo belga-holandês e, em 2011, o Mestrado em Ciências Religiosas com uma tese sobre os emigrantes calvinistas holandeses em vários países na Europa e na América do Sul, incluindo o Brasil. Obtive, em 2017, o Doutoramento pela Faculdade de Teologia e Ciências Religiosas da Universidade de Groninga (Holanda) com uma tese sobre a história religiosa, sociocultural e política do protestantismo liberal holandês, num contexto mundial, entre 1870 e 1940. Foi aluno visitante na Faculdade de Teologia Protestante em Bruxelas (Bélgica) em 2009-2010, investigador visitante na Universidade de Harvard (Estados Unidos) em 2015, e Scaliger Fellow na Universidade de Leiden em 2016. Desde 2013, tem professado vários cursos em historiografia e história do cristianismo nas universidades de Groninga e Leiden. Publica e dá palestras sobre vários temas no âmbito da história do cristianismo na Holanda, em particular na sua relação com o estrangeiro. É membro das redacções de umas revistas científicas no mesmo âmbito. Dedica-se como investigador-colaborador no CEHR à pesquisa sobre a relação entre a história do protestantismo em Portugal e na Holanda.
Tom-Eric Krijger (the Netherlands, 1987) became a Bachelor in History at the Faculty of Humanities of Utrecht University (the Netherlands) in 2008. At the same faculty, he concluded the Research Master in History in 2010 with a thesis on Dutch involvement with Protestantism in Dutch-speaking Belgium, and the Master in Religious Studies in 2011 with a thesis on the migration of Dutch Protestants to various countries in Europe and South America, including Brazil. Krijger obtained a PhD at the Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies of the University of Groningen (the Netherlands) in 2017 with a dissertation on the religious, socio-cultural and political history of Dutch liberal Protestantism, embedded in a global context, between 1870 and 1940. He was a visiting student at the Faculty of Protestant Theology in Brussels (Belgium) in 2009-2010, a visiting doctoral researcher at Harvard University (USA) in 2015, and a Scaliger Fellow at Leiden University in 2016. Since 2013, Krijger has been teaching various courses on historiography and the history of Christianity at the universities of Groningen and Leiden. He publishes on a wide variety of themes in the field of the history of Dutch Christianity, particularly in its relation to the non-Dutch world, and is an editorial board member of two journals in the same field. As a collaborative researcher at the CEHR, Krijger studies the relationship between the history of Protestantism in Portugal and the Netherlands.
